Dear Solar for Us Investor,

Welcome to the Solar for Us Team! Solar for Us LLC and its nonprofit parent organization, Climate Access Fund Corporation, are excited to partner with investors to enact real climate and social justice in our communities. Thank you for supporting bold climate initiatives like ours! We are so grateful for your investment.

With your support, Solar for Us is on track to construct a rooftop solar project in Baltimore in 2024 that will both offset greenhouse gas emissions and reduce electricity bills for low-income households. We will share regular updates on our progress through the Investor Updates page of the Solar for Us website.

In the meantime, we wanted to share some information with you about the project and our process.

Project Update

We are pleased to report that we are very close to finalizing our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract and receiving the Baltimore City permitting and utility interconnection approval needed to order equipment and begin construction. We anticipate commercial operation in late spring/early summer of 2024 and will likely host a groundbreaking event at the Henderson-Hopkins School to which you will be cordially invited!

Repayments

As a reminder, your loan will begin accruing interest upon the project’s Commercial Operation Date (“COD”), but no later than October 15, 2024, which is 15 months from the issuance date of July 15, 2023. You can expect your first repayment no later than July 15, 2025, and annually on or around July 15 thereafter until 2038. We are currently setting up the secure process to repay investors via either ACH or check and will provide you with details once we finalize the process.
